Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the independent watchguard-mobile.org information site handles personal data and technical information. Last updated July 16, 2026.

Controller and contact

The site’s independent editorial team is responsible for the processing described here. Contact us at support@watchguard-mobile.org, by telephone at +1 206 555 0148, or by mail at 255 S. King Street, Suite 1100, Seattle, WA 98104, United States.

Information that may be processed

We do not require an account and do not intentionally request sensitive personal information. The web server may create limited technical logs containing an IP address, time, requested page, browser type, and error code. These records support security, troubleshooting, and availability and are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

The contact form on the About Us page is a local demonstration. In its current form, entries are validated in the browser and are not submitted to a server. If we introduce a working message service, this policy will be updated before collection begins.

Local storage and cookies

When you select an option in the privacy banner, the browser stores that technical choice locally so the banner does not appear on every page. We do not use the choice for advertising or profiling. You can remove it through your browser settings at any time.

Purpose and retention

Necessary security logging is used for the legitimate interest of protecting and operating the site. We limit the fields, access, and retention involved. Records are deleted or anonymized when they are no longer needed for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, or a legal obligation.

Recipients and external services

Hosting and network providers may process technical data while delivering or protecting the website. Bootstrap, Font Awesome, and related assets can be requested from content delivery networks, which normally receive the IP address required to serve a file. Social links take you to third-party services whose own privacy policies then apply.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection concerning personal data related to you. Because logs are limited, we may need enough information to identify the relevant record without revealing information about another visitor. You may also complain to the privacy regulator that applies in your location.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards and restrict administrative access. No internet transmission is guaranteed to be risk-free. Never send passwords, authentication codes, private network addresses, or sensitive logs to the editorial team. Material changes will be accompanied by a new update date on this page.
